Our Coverage‎ > ‎

Other Countries

AMN is interested in considering other countries in sub-Saharan Africa in addition to those listed.

Not all countries offer a good opportunity to provide mobile network coverage in currently un-served rural areas. However, if an operator is interested in partnering with AMN in a different country then we are happy to discuss and to conduct further in-depth research to study the feasibility. The factors which need to be considered are:
  • The total population, the land area and the distribution of the population
  • The current coverage of the population and the expected expansion over the next 2 years
  • The proportion of the population which is not economically viable (less than 2,000 population per 150 square kilometres)
  • The GDP/capita

A minimum of 100 rural base stations is  required, covering a total population of not less than 300-400,000 people.
