Michael Darcy

Michael Darcy B.Eng MBA CEng MIET is a UK national with 20 years’ experience in mobile and satellite communications, including nearly 10 years as CEO of the EMEA business of Hughes Communications, a global (US-headquartered) telecommunications company – which he grew to more than $100M revenue. Prior to that with Hughes, Mr. Darcy was responsible for managing multiple large R&D projects, with values ranging from $160 million to $250 million, for 2G (GSM voice and GPRS data) mobile communication systems over satellite. Mr. Darcy has more recently served as the CEO of an international telecoms company based in Ghana and serving West and Central Africa, with considerable experience in deploying rural telephony base stations for the major licensed mobile network operators. Mr. Darcy has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a Master’s degree in Business Administration.

 
 
Terry Reynolds

Terry Reynolds served as the Chief Operating Officer of AMN from its foundation until 2017 and no continues to serve as a non-Executive Director. Mr. Reynolds was Programme Director delivering on time and on budget the world’s largest and fastest Lottery network rollout to 28,000 retail locations using VSAT technology for the Telecoms supplier to the National Lottery (Camelot). Mr. Reynolds was also for 8 years VP of IT & Logistics for retailer TK Maxx and played a pivotal role in the business start-up and European expansion of this £1bn+ retail business. Other roles include being Programme Director for a £20m business change programme to re-engineer business processes and replace legacy systems with an ERP solution for a £1.2bn multi-division client in the food distribution sector, and Programme Director for a £16m corporate joint venture business start-up in the Leisure sector including the launch of a branded credit card.

 

Emmanuel Pobee

Emmanuel Pobee is a Ghanaian national. He is a highly-qualified engineer with demonstrated success in computer systems/network administration and setup, field engineering, telephone application implementation, data and voice communications and possess high-level of knowledge in VSAT and radio communication skills. Mr. Pobee worked at K-NET in Ghana from 2011 to 2013 and was responsible for the deployment of mobile network base stations in rural locations for Tigo and MTN. Mr. Pobee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and a Master’s degree in Business Administration.

 
William Kane

William Kane is a UK Chartered Accountant, with 20-years experience at senior and board-level Finance Director level, including Group Finance Director at Wall Family Europe Ltd and as Finance Diretor and Company Secretary at Demco Europe Ltd

 
 

Meg Charles-Horn

Non-Executive Director

 
Meg Charles-Horn has twenty years of experience working closely with entrepreneurs, providing strategic business development and legal advice to privately-held growing companies as well as established publicly traded companies. Meg has built a successful career by using the law and her keen business acumen to provide solutions and strategic guidance to assist businesses in executing their growth strategies. Meg has held key leadership roles in a variety of cross-cultural and entrepreneurial settings as equity partner in a US based international law firm, Head of Strategy of telecommunications start-up, Deputy General Counsel of Orange Business Services and, as a Member of the Executive Leadership Team and General Counsel of the GSM Association. Meg has domain expertise in the telecommunications /technology sector with substantial experience in managing mergers and acquisitions, U.S securities laws, strategic planning and execution, corporate compliance, and organizational development. Meg is a member of the Board of Trustees of the African Technology Foundation and a member of the District of Columbia bar Association.
 
 
Benjamin Boateng

Non-Executive Director

Benjamin Boateng is a dual UK and Ghanaian national. He is Managing Partner of Monument Corporate Finance, a boutique corporate finance advisory firm that consists of three banking and one chartered accountancy professional, with a wealth of experience gained at GE Capital, Bank of New York, Landsbanki, Fortis Bank, JP Morgan, BNP Paribas, Procter & Gamble, PwC and Deloitte. Previously Mr Boateng worked at GE Capital, Fortis Bank and BNP Paribas in a number of debt advisory and management roles. Monument has a strong strategic focus on Pan - European deals and increasingly Sub Saharan Africa. Mr. Boateng holds a BSc and a Post Graduate Degree from University College London (UCL).
